The CYM Launching In Area II
The Christian Youth Month (CYM) 2008 was successfully launched in Area two last September 14, 2008 at Lawaan Locale. The theme for this year is” Kristiyanong Kabataan: LINGAW (Living In God Almighty’s Words) sa Pag-alagad.”
The KADIWA Officers in the locales of Tisa, Pardo, Lawaan and Minglanilla joined hand in hand in making this activity a possible one. There were thirty-four participants who attended the said event.
At 2:00 p.m, the participants had the registration and then they were given campaign materials regarding the series of activities for the CYM ’08.The brethrens were very interested in reading the said materials.
The participants listened closely to the speakers as they had elaborated the ten competitions for this year. Brother Allan Saranillo, the President of the Pardo locale, explained about the mechanics and objectives for the LINGAW T-shirt Design, Poster Design and Poem writing Contests. Furthermore, Sister Jubeth Aninon, the Vice-President of Pardo Locale also discussed the general guidelines for the LINGAW Photo Contest, Essay Writing Contest and Area Group Presentation .On the other hand, Brother Armil Velos, the Area 2 Coordinator also explained the objectives and general search rules and guidelines for the Christian Youth Awards for the following categories: For Excellence (Individual), Community Service (Individual and Locale), Edification (Individual and Locale)and Missionary(Individual and Locale).
The Area II KADIWA Officers also discussed and suggested that they’ll going to have a “Musical Play” for the Area Group Presentation.
Indeed, the CYM Launching in Area II was such a venue for Unity among brethrens and love for serving our Father-our Lord God.
